SHHS Chamber Orchestra is 3rd in the Nation

A huge congratulations to the SHHS Chamber Orchestra! The Orchestra won second runner-up (third in nation–in the nation!) in the very prestigious National Competition at Lincoln Center in New York City! They performed Shostakovich’s Sinfonia for String Orchestra and placed ahead of outstanding high school orchestras from around the country. They also received the Forte Award, a special award given by the competition organizers to the school that best exhibited positivity, team spirit, organization, and passion for music-making throughout the whole competition.

I am so proud of my alma mater…always!

Heather grew up in Shaker Heights, Ohio, a place that still is near and dear to her. " After living in Brooklyn for 18 years and studying Graphic Design at Pratt Institute, she now lives in the Jersey burbs. "I love living so close to NYC, but in my heart, I'm an Ohio girl."
