I Finally Sat Down for Lunch at Juma

As always, I forgot to take a photo so imagine this space–but open with it drizzling outside.

I’ve bought gifts here. I’ve grabbed many a cup of joe (always rich and strong the way I like it). I’ve browsed and spent on their amazing selection of unique clothing. But I admit, I have never sat down at Juma. Well, this week I did. I sat in the open-air cafe section with my mom and enjoyed the breeze which it drizzled outside and had lunch.

Juma’s case of baked goods looked out of this world: scones packed with berries, moist banana bread, thick rich chocolate chip cookies and flaky, buttery croissants. Their baked goods are homemade by a Heights local and brought in every morning. Today, I had the Curry Chicken salad on one of those buttery-light croissants with a side salad with crunchy sunflower seeds and dried cranberries. My mom had a big turkey sandwich that was large enough to bring half home for later.

Of course, lunch was followed with a big cup of caffeine and browsing and a small purchase for myself. I could have stayed all afternoon.
