Van Aken Beer Garden is Back

The Van Aken Beer Garden kicked off its second summer last weekend with a bang; it was HOPPING! .People of all ages mingled and munched as they listened to live music and sipped on beer, wine and cocktails. Vendors sold clothing, shoes and accessories.Kids danced and did crafts with the SHHS field hockey team.  For most, it’s within walking distance from home and is the perfect venue to meet up with neighbors, new and old, while the kids play ping pong, chase their friends or dance to the live music! Located in the parking lot of Van Aken Center in Shaker Heights. Admission is free (bike and pet friendly)

She now works from home as a freelance graphic designer and a chauffeur to her 3 busy kids. "Working on TipsFromTown has been a wonderful outlet for me. It renewed my love of publishing where I can design colorful, enticing pages online and allows me to share the things I love about being a mom." Heather grew up in Shaker Heights, Ohio, a place that still is near and dear to her. " After living in Brooklyn for 18 years and studying Graphic Design at Pratt Institute, she now lives in the Jersey burbs. "I love living so close to NYC, but in my heart, I'm an Ohio girl."
