Celebs’ Latest Fitness Trends

It’s that time of year where many of us will be glued to our tvs for hours not necessarily to see who win Oscars, but more to see what he celebs are wearing, and let’s be honest here, checking out the bods of all those stars. To that point I’m highlighting the favorite fitness regimes of various stars. Some are new fads; some have been around for a long time (the fitness trends that is). Aside from hiring your own personal trainer(s) and chefs – yes some celebs have more than one, you can try out these fitness trends at your local gyms:

  1. Barre – the ballet/pilates inspired training (Natalie Portman)
  2. Flywheel – an intense spin class WHILE weight training (Sofia Vergara)
  3. Aerial Yoga – if you watched the Grammy’s you saw Pink demonstrate her skills (Gwyneth Paltrow)
  4. Trampoline – not the little rebounder ones from the 80’s but big gymnastics types (Julianne Hough)
  5. Cross Fit– despite some bad press and let’s just say – haters out there, this intense, short bouts of resistance training and cardio is still growing in momentum and popularity (Brad Pitt, Channing Tatum)
  6. HIIT – perfect for busy schedules and serious fitness is the High Intensity Interval Training which is all about working at very high intensities with short active recoveries in between for less than 30 minutes (Halle Berry)
  7. Running – no fancy names, equipment or fad here, just throw on some sneaks, grab your tunes and go (Matthew McConaughey)
