A Taste of Brazil: Caipirinha

I remember the first time I had a caipirinha on my first visit to Brazil. It was unlike any other taste I’d ever had. It was similar to a margarita or a mojito for its tartness but has a deeper, more sour taste.

Ingredients:
2 oz Leblon Cachaça
1/2  a lime, cut into wedges
2 tsp superfine sugar or 1 oz simple syrup

Directions:

Muddle the lime and sugar in a shaker. Fill the shaker with ice and add Leblon Cachaça. Shake well and serve in a rocks glass. Garnish with a lime wedge.
