A Birthday Party with a Twist

My daughter had a wonderful time recently at a friend’s birthday party at Painting with a Twist in Glen Rock. Somehow, it was off my radar–I’d never been! The franchise has actually been around since 2009.

What I loved about it:
• The Space: The big, open space to paint.
• Freedom: Even though the teacher was leading the kids in a project, she was very open about letting the kids paint freely if that’s what they chose. As an artist, I love that.
Parking was easy–even on a Saturday.
• Great price. You can host a birthday party for 10 painters for around $250! I feel like it’s almost impossible to find a birthday party for under $300 but they do it–and they do it well.
• Length of time: 2 1/2 hours!

Besides kids’ parties, they also host Ladies’ Night Sip and Paint, evening workshops, after school walk-in workshops (just $25) and camps.
