Our Picks: Where to Shop for Shoes

I love shoes (what girls doesn’t?!), but I have a hard time finding shoes that are comfortable for a variety of reasons. After a long day walking in the city this past weekend, I realized I really needed to find something that can endure hours of walking.

I’d heard about Just Our Shoes and that they specialize in “comfortable” shoes. They have a shop in Ridgewood and Westwood. I happened to be in Westwood, so I dropped in expecting to find frumpy yet comfortable walking shoes. To my delight, what I found was trendy, cute, and unique!

If you are at the Westwood shop, find Maribel!

Store manager, Maribel, couldn’t have been nicer or more patient and she was extremely helpful at finding shoes that addressed my specific needs. They carry European like L’Amour de Pieds and Paj de Rouge and Canadian brands like Pajar and Ron White. Everything in their shop is beautifully crafted. And while there are basics like loafers, they also have totally fun, furry boots and trendy, not-by-any-means-your-average sneakers. They had shoes made with fox fur and horse hair, wedges, heels, flats–and everything I tried on felt good. I’m about to become a regular!

Just Our Shoes, 183 Westwood Ave, Westwood, NJ. (201) 664-6633.
and 16 N Walnut St, Ridgewood, NJ. (201) 447-3408.

You’ll be seeing me around town in these Ron Whites.
