Vaping: The Untold Story

Monday, March 18 • 7:00 pm
Benjamin Franklin Middle School

Monday, March 18, Ridgewood’s Federated HSA will host a program for parents about vaping“Vaping: The Untold Story.” The program will be led by nationally recognized speaker, trainer and consultant Timothy Shoemaker.  Tim will also provide two student presentations at both middle schools during the day and a parent presentation at 7:00 pm in the Benjamin Franklin Middle School auditorium.

According to the Surgeon General, the alarming trend of e-cigarette usage poses a “significant–and avoidable–health risk to young people in the United States.  Besides the increasing possibility of addition and long-term harm to brain development and respiratory health, e-cigarette use is associated with the use of other tobacco products that can do even more damage to the body.”  Tim’s presentation will shed light on the Vaping epidemic, the latest Vape devices and paraphenalia, risks posed to users, and ways to teach adolescents and teens the dangers of Vaping.
