Real Tricks to Get Fit

Warm weather has already graced this area and it’s only April. Do you ever have the feeling it’s too soon and you might just need a few more weeks to get fit?

There is a great article in this months’s  Women’s Health Magazine by Jayme Moye “A Hotter Body- No Sweat! Things to do in your downtime to increase energy, reduce soreness and drop weight faster.”  Besides the common sense of knowing you need to exercise and eat healthy, this article has some great tricks which are realistic to follow in order to get your bathing suit body by Summer.

Get more sleep (7-9 hours); have one day of big exercise, the day after do a low-key activity (i.e. yoga, walk) this helps with post-exercise muscle soreness; Make sure you have a good post-workout snack (protein within 30 minutes after workout); Post workout, get a massage or stretch to help prevent a future injury or relax any tightness; Boost your water intake to 16-20 oz for every hour you train besides the recommended daily intake of 8 glasses (64 0unces).
