Mandolin

For all of those recipes that require “thinly” sliced fruits, vegetables, potatoes… a mandolin is something a kitchen must have.  Believe me.  Once you use one, you will convert.  You will honestly ask yourself, how you exactly got along without one.  Most are easy to clean and store.  Chef Central in Paramus has quite a collection to choose from.  I went with middle-of-the road in price point, and I am quite content.  Helped with prep in both  Creamy Cilantro-Lime Slaw and Zucchini and Squash “Carpaccio.”
