Two Evenings of Art

Wednesday, June 1 and Thursday, June 2
Westwood Regional School District’s Department of Visual Arts is pleased to announce the first annual Art+Tech Exhibition at the Westwood Jr./Sr. High School.

westwood artThe new program is a collaboration of teachers in the Art, Theatre, Digital Media, Applied Technology, and Family and Consumer Sciences departments. A series of events will take place over two days, including
• an exhibit of student art and design work (grades 6–12)
• a workshop performance of Neil Simon’s “Rumors,” presented by the Theatre Ensemble class;
• screenings of student film projects from the Digital Media program;
• and the annual fashion show, presented by the Fashion Design classes. 

Wednesday, June 1
6pm: Digital Media Screening, Jr./Sr. High School Cafeteria
7 p.m: Fashion Show, Jr./Sr. High School Cafeteria
6-8 p.m: Art & Tech Exhibition, Jr./Sr. High School Lower Gym

Thursday, June 2
6-8 p.m.: Art & Tech Exhibition, Jr./Sr. High School Lower Gym
7:30 p.m.: Theatre Ensemble – Performance of Neil Simon’s “Rumors,” Jr./Sr. High School Hurley Theatre.

Former Art Director for Home Magazine, Heather Leahy Zachariah, left her career in publishing after baby number number one. She now works from home as a freelance graphic designer and a chauffeur to her 3 busy kids. "Working on TipsFromTown has been a wonderful outlet for me. It renewed my love of publishing where I can design colorful, enticing pages online and allows me to share the things I love about being a mom." Heather grew up in Shaker Heights, Ohio, a place that still is near and dear to her. " After living in Brooklyn for 18 years and studying Graphic Design at Pratt Institute, she now lives in the Jersey burbs. "I love living so close to NYC, but in my heart, I'm an Ohio girl."
