BOOK REVIEW: The Rosie Project

By Graeme Simison
Year: 2014
Rating:

Last night, I stayed up late to finish The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion. It is already an international bestseller, so I am a little late to the game. I really enjoyed it. It is an easy read, but emotionally deep, funny and inspiring at the same time. I found myself truly rooting for the protagonist as he searches for a life partner. Don Tillman, a 39 year old genetics professor with undiagnosed Asperger Syndrome, puts in place what he calls the Wife Project to find a woman with whom he can spend the rest of his life. His plans and his scientific approach are upended when he meets Rosie, who meets just about none of his well thought out requirements. Their journey toward something resembling love will keep you laughing and wanting more. I definitely recommend it.
