Renwick Gallery

renwickYou have to make a trip to Washington D.C. before May 8th. The exhibit Wonderrenwick is leaving the Renwick Gallery at that time and it’s amazing. You and your kids will love it. It is all 3-D works of art. One of the exhibits is all bugs and is pictured to the left. I would suggest getting there as soon as it opens to avoid the lines. It is diagonal from The White House so you can go there for photo ops afterwards. Most of the museums in DC are free and the Renwick is one of them. Every time I visit DC which is pretty often because I have family there, we see a different museum or memorial. We have rarely had to pay. The Ford Theatre, Holocaust Memorial museum, U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing, Museum of Natural History, Newseum(have to pay for this one), National Air and Space, National Museum of American History are just a few of the museums I have taken my kids to see. Plan a weekend and take your kids to The Willard for a drink and ask them the history of how lobbyists came to be.
