Orange is the New Black

orange-is-the-new-blackPiper Chapman is sentenced to 15 months in a woman’s prison for a crime she committed over a decade ago. As she muddles through life behind bars, we get to watch. I heard this was a great series, but having been scarred by scenes in Oz, I put off watching it. Now, I’m addicted. It’s on Netflix. I often take a little 15 minute break from work to catch up on an episode. More like a reality show where women of all different backgrounds are thrust together, you will laugh, and keep coming back for more. The backstories of the characters add a real human element, and you will find some touching. I wouldn’t watch with your children. I watch with earbuds. The language and sex (mostly women on women obviously) may be a little gratuitous, but hey, that’s life in prison I guess.

Should you watch? Yes. Thumbs up.
