Loving Chef Joel’s Silly Sauce

Grange

Toasted Almond Rainbow Trout

I recently spent an evening with a few friends at The Grange in Westwood. Upon entering, I immediately felt relaxed given the warmth and simplicity of the space. We started with a trio of deviled eggs: Chipotle, Caviar and Curried (my favorite). We followed with a special, the potato latkes; the plate went back to the kitchen completely clean. Under much pressure from our friends, my husband ordered the Toasted Almond Rainbow Trout. It was seared and crusted with almonds and served with polenta and haricot vert. The crust was nice and cripsy; it was as delicious as he’d hoped. My husband is allergic to shrimp so when we eat out, this is my chance to indulge in the little crustaceans! I ordered the Pappardelle & “Silly Sauce” with tiger shrimp and wild mushrooms in pink tomato sauce. The shrimp were large, fresh and had just the right amount of crunch and I loved the sweetness of the sauce. It was a lovely meal.
