Sugar-Coated Chocolate Pixies

This is one of my kids favorite cookies. The toughest part about making them is not eating all the batter!

Size: Makes about 4 dozen tiny cookies.

Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
powdered sugar

Directions:

In a saucepan, melt butter and chocolate over a low heat. Stir while it melts and be careful–it’s burns easily. Cool.

In large bowl, beat chocolate mixture, 1 cup of flour, sugar, eggs, baking powder and salt. Stir in remaining 1 cup of flour.

Cover and refrigerate until firm, at least 2 hours.

Preheat over to 300 degrees. Shape dough into 1″ balls. Grease cookie sheet. Roll in powdered sugar. Place on a baking sheet 2″ apart.

Bake for 12 to 15 minutes. Remove and cool.

It renewed my love of publishing where I can design colorful, enticing pages online and allows me to share the things I love about being a mom." Heather grew up in Shaker Heights, Ohio, a place that still is near and dear to her. " After living in Brooklyn for 18 years and studying Graphic Design at Pratt Institute, she now lives in the Jersey burbs. "I love living so close to NYC, but in my heart, I'm an Ohio girl."
