Addicted Yet? Yes, I am!

My children have finally moved beyond pizza for their go-to takeout. We used to order pizza once a week but we have a new go-to spot, Bon Chon. It’s not new, opened about 2 years ago, but its new to them. Their ad asks, “Addicted Yet?” Well, as a matter of a fact…we are!

In Korea, fried chicken places are found in every neighborhood. Fried chicken is as much a comfort food in Korea as it is in the US. So CEO Jinduk She set out to create the perfect fried chicken recipe double frying the chicken. It creates this incredible thickly-coated crunch on their chicken.

My Bibimbap.

My Bibimbap.

Chicken comes coated your choice of finger-licking sauce: Soy Garlic or Spicy. My husband and I love the spicy but my kids prefer the Soy Garlic. Choose wings, drumsticks or strips. Besides mouth-watering chicken, their parmesan-seasoned fries are amazing. When I’m wanting something a little healthier, I go for the Bibimbap; the rice, with just the right amount crunch to it, is topped with beef, vegetables and a fried egg. I could eat that every day. I’m also a big fan of the Chicken Korean tacos and the Bulgogi sliders topped with mushrooms and onions.

Here’s something I didn’t know: the Korean fermented radish that they serve helps aid digestion after a meal–not to mention it adds a sweet, tangy flavor that compliments chicken.
