Why Prevention?

old happy people, couple, aging wellHere’s the bottom line. People are living longer. This means, like it or not, you may live to be 100 — or more — gasp! Decide now the type of older person you want to be. Do you want to be frail and sickly, or do you want to be young at heart, enjoying life into all your decades? Prevention is hard, but living with disease is harder. What can you do? Here is a simple list, in no particular order.

– Reduce Stress
– Exercise
– Don’t smoke (does anyone actually smoke cigarettes anymore?)
– Drink in moderation (sh#%!)
– Eat when you are hungry.
– Increase fruits and vegetables.
– Have more sex.
Be optimistic.
– See your doctor.

I know, I know … easier said than done. Check out this video for some inspiration. Think all 94 year olds are in nursing homes? Think again!
