Summit’s Cleaning Up the Town

Summit’s Annual Earth Day Clean-Up
Saturday April 27 from 9am to 12pm

 

Join your friends and neighbors for the City of Summit’s Annual Earth Day Clean-Up is on Saturday April 27 from 9am to 12pm and help beautify Summit’s parks and open spaces. The clean-up is sponsored by the City of Summit Environmental Commission and is conducted in partnership with the Washington Area Association.

Individuals and walk-ins are welcome at Briant Park and Martin’s Brook Park. Children ages 12 or younger must be accompanied by a parent or other adult. Students in grades eight to 12 without an adult please email the Environmental Commission at summitearthdaycleanup@gmail.com for a permission form. Remember to bring work gloves. Bags for collecting trash and recycling will be provided. Also community service hours are available.

In the event of heavy rain on Saturday, April 27, the Earth Day clean-up will be held on Sunday, April 28 from 1PM to 4PM. Weather updates will be posted on the City of Summit website, if necessary.
