Workshop: Make the College Transition Easier

Your daughter is going off to college.
You provided her with bedding and a mini-fridge.

Now, provide her with the skills to handle
the challenges that are bound to come.

Going away to college can be difficult, stressful and life altering. While no transition is easy, the move from home to college in our fast paced, success driven, social media obsessed culture can be particularly intimidating. College freshmen satisfaction rates are at an all-time low and mental health disorders are at an all-time high. We want to help.

What: College Bootcamp — A Skills Building Workshop to set the stage for a more fulfilling and healthier transition to college.

Offered By: Karen Latimer, MD and Jocelyn Sokol, CPCC

For: Women Entering College 2018

When: Wednesday, August 1st, 2 – 5pm

Where: Yoga Vibe Studio, 24 E. Prospect Street, Waldwick

With mind and body wellness at the core of the workshop, our mission is to empower and inform these young women as they face this exciting time. Topics will include stress management, roommate relationships, healthy eating, risky behaviors, and staying true to oneself in a completely new environment.
