5K for Hunger — Join Us, It is So Easy

The students in the Fitness Club at Ridgewood High School, in partnership with Y Wellness and Teen Leads, are hosting a 5K next week. It is virtual, which doesn’t mean you can watch someone else do it. It means you can complete your 5K on your own time and at your own pace. To register, and be a part of the effort, they are asking for a $10 donation to the Community Food Bank of NJ, which you can make on this page.

Then, next week, grab some family members, friends or neighbors, and run or walk a 5K in town or on a track. Wear something orange to demonstrate you are running/walking not just for yourself but for a great cause!!!

If you are feeling competitive, track your run. There will be prizes for the fastest times girl and boy in high school, girl and boy in middle school and girl and boy in elementary school. For adults, you’ll likely be getting pride not prize, but go for it anyway!!
