Avocado Hummus Toast

We’re loving this is a new take on the avocado toast with chia seeds to add more protein. You can eat one or two pieces depending on your situation. This is one of my favorite lunches and so easy to make.

Size: 1 or 2

1 or 2 slices ezekiel bread or gluten free bread
half an avocado
juice from half a lime
chia or hemp seeds
hot pepper flakes


Toast the bread. Spread hummus on each slice. Cut up half an avocado. I use half for two slices. Squeeze juice from 1/2 lime on both pieces. Sprinkle with chia or hemp seeds and then hot pepper flakes. You can also toast the hemp seeds with cayenne and skip hot pepper flakes. You could eat this for dinner as well.
