5 Unique Festivals You Don’t Want to Miss this Summer!

New Jersey State Fair

Meadowlands, East Rutherford

June 21- July 8

This is 100x better than any fair you and your family have ever been to. This 18 day long fair is filled with live musical performances, rides, delicious food, and racing pigs!

Festival of Ballooning

Readington, NJ

July 27- 29

I have heard amazing things about this festival! It features 100 beautiful, colorful hot air balloons and live music. The hot air balloons all go up at the same time, making for a breathtaking scene you don’t want to miss out on.

Smorgasburg

Every Saturday in Williamsburg

Every Sunday in Prospect Park

I went to Smorgaburg last summer and absolutely loved it! This is a food market held every weekend through the summer that features a wide variety of vendors selling any delicious food you could dream of! Both locations offer a beautiful view, but I would recommend going on Saturday as it is right on the waterfront with a gorgeous view of the city. P.S. definitely get the mozzarella sticks!

Museum Mile Festival

June 12

Fifth Avenue, NYC

This festival fills 5th avenue with music and opens the doors of numerous NYC museums to the public for free. The festival originally started as a way to gain support for the arts and is now on its 40th year! Come out to support the arts (for free)!!

Mermaid Parade

June 16

Coney island

This parade day brings mythology to life and is all about fun and love for the community! The parade is full of creative mermaid costumes and other incredible creations. Grab your mermaid tail and come on out!
