Being “Happier At Home”

As the days continue to fly by this fall, I am always a fan of books that cause me to turn a fresh eye on – and truly appreciate – the everyday. Such is certainly the case with “Happier at Home,” round two of Gretchen Rubin’s “Happiness Project.” In this installment, Rubin once again embarks on a year-long journey with the goal of cultivating happiness by being more mindful of ourselves, our families and the world around us. She really does make it that simple in this great read.

In “Happier at Home,” her ultimate goal is to create a place that both calms and energizes her all the while appreciating the happiness that already surrounds her in her home. The full title is Happier At Home: Kiss More, Jump More, Abandon a Project, Read Samuel Johnson, and My Other Experiments in the Practice of Everyday Life. Check it out on Amazon or at your local bookstore.
