Don’t Miss Out! LEGO Robotics and Mystery Adventure Programs for K-5th Grade Kids Start This Saturday

Imagine Saturdays where your child builds – and programs! – his or her own robots, or sets out like Encyclopedia Brown or the Scooby Doo team to solve a mystery. Thanks to the Little Ivy Academy, all that and so much more is possible right here in Ridgewood! Starting this Saturday, January 26, the sky’s the limit for your kindergarten-fifth grade child’s imagination when you enroll her or him in Robots in Motion! and Mysteries: We’re on the Case! at Little Ivy Academy.

Priority registration is about to close for the remaining openings in each of these limited-enrollment, eight-week Saturday courses. Class size in each lab is limited to provide your child with a robust, hands-on, small-group learning environment that stimulates real imagination, real learning and real fun. Click on the links below to learn more and register for each of these featured courses:

Robots in Motion!
With Robots in Motion!, your elementary age girl or boy will take control of her or his very own robotic creations, bringing them from first movements to full strength! During each weekly session, your child will make arms move, gears turn and bring life to their creations using our age-appropriate programming language, LEGO-based building materials, and more. Robots in Motion! is the first in Little Ivy Academy’s sequence of THE ROBOTS ARE COMING!!! S.T.E.M courses. Separate labs are offered for 3rd-5th graders and kindergarteners-2nd graders.

The Mysteries: We’re on the Case!
During each weekly session of The Mysteries: We’re On the Case, your 3rd-5th grade child sets out on a journey through a selected mystery reading, ultimately creating a mystery tale of their own to be solved by their lab-mates. Think Scooby-Do meets Encyclopedia Brown for weekly dinner mystery theater as your child takes charge of the investigation, sleuthing their way to unlocking the mystery of the day with their ever-developing reading, writing and critical thinking skills leading the way!
