Protect Your Lovely Locks
Thinking back to what I have put my hair through all these years, I can hardly believe I have any left. It all started with perming (why did I ever do that?), highlighting, crimping, teasing (after all I did grow up in New Jersey), straightening, curling, and now coloring (ugh... gray's). I have just been introduced to a product that will help protect your hair from all the stress.
Brighten up Above the eye…
If you are going to take the time in the morning to apply eye shadow, an eye shadow primer is a must. If you don't use one, by lunch time you will be wondering what happened to the shadow you swear you put on that morning. A shadow primer is designed to correct darkness and discoloration of the eyelid, instantly creating a more vibrant, bright-eyed look, while locking shadow in place for crease-proof, all-day wear. My two favorites are MAC's Paint Pot, color painterly, and Trish McEvoy's Eye Base Essential, color bare.
Keep your hair outta there!
I'm always looking for products which make everyday life easier, and I have just found one that will make brushing your teeth and washing your face so much easier! The Tassi hair band will keep your hair out of the way without ruining your blowout. Clips - crimp, bands - bend, and pins - pinch, Tassi is the best way to hold your hair back without ruining your locks! Pick one up for all the girls in your life at Glamour Beauty in Ridgewood or Glamour Too in Waldwick.
Life on the Wedge
Definitely my favorite shoe of the summer, wedges are a must have in your wardrobe. Give your workwear serious flair, or pair wedges with shorts for mile long legs. Try some commanding colors and patterns and you are sure to be a knockout standout!
Fashion forward colors… at your fingertips
This season Nars and Thakoon extended their fashion week collaboration with limited addition nail polishes inspired by the designer's 2012 spring collection. Super vibrant, exuberant color channels the pulsating hues of an Indian spice market for a bold fashion forward statement. I love these bright, fun colors! Get them while they are hot, once they're gone, they're gone!
