In Case You Haven’t Been to Village Green in Awhile…

If you haven’t been to Village Green in awhile, here’s a reason to pop in soon for lunch: their Spicy Tuna Poke Bowl with avocado, wakame, and crunchy macadamia nuts ($16). We’ve recently become obsessed with poke bowls. Haven’t heard of poke yet? Poke means “to slice or cut” in Hawaiian. The dish usually uses chunks of raw, marinated fish and is mixed with vegetables, sauces, and if you like, rice. Without the rice, they make a great high-protein, vitamin-rich, carb-less lunch! And when you’re feeling naughty, you can still have the Village Green’s delicious Crispy Pork Belly or Boneless Short Ribs. : )
