A HUNGARIAN POUND CAKE LIKE NO OTHER!

Dusted with a hint of Confectionery Sugar

I remember getting this pound cake recipe from an electrician that was working on my house many years ago. He rattled off the recipe so quickly that I was sure I left something out – I did not. It comes out PERFECTLY every time. The recipe is simple too!

Size: serves 10-15

Ingredients:
2 sticks of lightly salted butter - softened
2 Cups of granulated sugar
2 Cups of Flour
5 Eggs
1 Tablespoon of Vanilla Extract

Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Generously grease a bundt or angel food baking pan.
  3. Add the two cups of sugar to a large mixing bowl
  4. Slowly add in the two sticks of softened butter.
  5. Then add the 5 eggs.
  6. And the two cups of flour – slowly until all blended.
  7. Scrape the mixture off the side of the bowl and add a tbsp of vanilla extract
  8. Bake for 1-1/12 hours. Top will turn a beautiful, golden brown.
  9. Cake is done when toothpick is inserted and comes out clean!
    Enjoy!
