Lacrosse Summer Camps

Got a lacrosse fan? Here are some sure-to-please local camp options for girls and boys of all skill levels! 

FOR THE BOYS
Vision Lacrosse Camp:
Founded by Mike Springer, a four-time All American and team captain from Syracuse University and Ridgewood, NJ, where he was a two-time All American at Ridgewood H.S. Vision camp focuses on intensive, top-notch instruction and strategy, allowing each player to improve their skills in a positive environment. It strives for a low coach-player ratio and has fun contests each day of camp. Three Session options are July 14-Aug 1 at Don Bosco Prep in Ramsey from 9 am to 3 pm. Boys ages 8-18.

Heads Up Lacrosse Camp: Coach Bracken has been Head Coach for Glen Rock HS in Bergen County since 2009. The HS staff to the Heads Up Lacrosse staff is highly qualified coaches helping young players improve. 2 five-day sessions: July 28 – August 1 and August 4 – August 8. Full Day of Camp: Monday- Friday from 9:00-2:30

Maroons Lacrosse: This one is led by Mike Pounds, head coach of the RHS Boys Lacrosse Team, in association with FORCE Performance Training. Regardless of a player’s age, skill level or athletic ability, this camp aims to develop the lacrosse skills and enhance the athletic ability of each individual. The Rising Star Camp for grades 3-8 is held for one week from July 7-11 in the morning. 

Top Shott Lacrosse Camp: Under the direction of Patrick Jackson, this camp aims to ensure all players improve in the areas of stick handling, passing, dodging, shooting and defense. Top Shott is geared for kids ages 5-15. It is held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Midland Park High School at 250 Prospect Avenue in Midland Park for three weeks this summer: July 7 – July 11, August 4 – August 8 and August 11 – August 15. 

FOR THE LADIES
Lady Maroons Camp: Run by the RHS Girls Lacrosse Team, this camp focuses on cross training agility skills and drills, developing basic and advanced individual stick skills, and learning offensive and defensive team concepts through both drills and games. Session is July 7-11 from 1:00pm to 5:00 pm. Visit www.ridgewoodlax.com for more info.

Musketeer Lacrosse Camp: Open to grades 2-7, this camp seeks to develop athletic skills through individualized sport instruction, strengthen inner core values and principles, fair play and team work.  The camps are designed to give players the opportunity to develop the skills necessary to fulfill their goals and reach their potential. The camp will be held at Waldwick High School at 155 Wyckoff Avenue in Waldwick. Session runs from July 14-17 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Visit www.musketeerlacrosse.com for more info.

Superdome: For girls at all levels, this camp offers fundamental training including player development. ground balls, cradling/ ball possession, catching, passing, shooting, checking principles, switching hands, quick sticking and more. 

STEPS: STEPS is designed to teach the game of lacrosse to all level of players from beginners to the elite level player in a positive and value-oriented environment.  STEPS also offers a girls only camp July 21-24 Saddle River, at Saddle River Day School, and other weeks in Livingston and Boonton.
