Kefir Bread: A Healthy, 5 Ingredient Bread

This recipe came from a chef in Sweden. It is an easy to make healthy bread. You will need to butter or put jam on it for some added flavor. I love it. Most of my kids eat it as well. Tastes great right out of the oven. My neighbor uses it in place of store bought bread for her sandwiches. It is only five ingredients but you must read the directions and mix them in the proper order.

1 1/2 cup plain lowfat Kefir
2 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/4-1/2 cup all natural maple syrup
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder

Mix the kefir and the maple syrup first. Add the baking powder and the baking soda. Mix it with a whisk. Then add the flour and mix it with a spatula. Butter and flour a loaf pan. Bake at 350 for an hour!
