Dashing Through the Snow in a One (or Two) Horse Open Sleigh

sleigh ridesThis could be a perfect way to celebrate an anniversary or just make a family outing extra special.

Every winter, all winter long, Ma and Pa hitch up their sleighs and take folks out through the woods on beautiful rides through Geauga County and then back to their cabin for a Ma’s cookies, hot chocolate and maple coffee while you warm up with someone special next to a warm fire.

sleigh rideMa and Pa’s Cabin was built in the 1820’s and and is nestled in the woods of Geauga County. In the Spring time Ma and Pa make their own maple syrup and offer Maple Tours with the horses at the store.

Sleigh Rides run Saturday and Sunday and some weekdays but are dependent on weather. Reservations are required. In case something special is planned–like a proposal or out of town guests, they can take you on carriage ride instead.

She now works from home as a freelance graphic designer and a chauffeur to her 3 busy kids. "Working on TipsFromTown has been a wonderful outlet for me. It renewed my love of publishing where I can design colorful, enticing pages online and allows me to share the things I love about being a mom." Heather grew up in Shaker Heights, Ohio, a place that still is near and dear to her. " After living in Brooklyn for 18 years and studying Graphic Design at Pratt Institute, she now lives in the Jersey burbs. "I love living so close to NYC, but in my heart, I'm an Ohio girl."
