A Night for the Red & White

A Night for the Red & White is just around the corner, on Saturday, March 10th at 7 pm at the Hilton Cleveland Downtown. The annual gala event attracts more than 800 parents, alumni, staff, and community members each year and has raised more than $2.6 million since 1992 for the enrichment of all Shaker students. This year’s event will support the Innovation Fund to create makerspaces: hands-on labs that cultivate creativity, design, and collaboration among our students. Black-tie optional.

Be sure to buy your tickets; tickets are not available at the door. The evening includes:
  • Dinner, drinks and dessert
  • Dancing to the sounds of Funkology, featuring Shaker band director Joe Kulikowski
  • Amazing student performances
  • Unique silent auction items for every interest and price point
You can also participate in the Silent Auction and Raffle beginning March 2. Anyone can participate regardless of whether or not you attend the event! This year’s Big Raffle item is a Grand Getaway, a trip for two to your choice of London, Paris, or Rome, which includes airfare and a three-night stay in a four-star hotel in the heart of the city – generously donated by GrandTours, coordinator of the District’s overseas band and orchestra trips for band and orchestra trips.
Unable to attend? Consider making a tax-deductible contribution. We are always grateful to receive your support in the form of a tax-deductible contribution.

Former Art Director for Home Magazine, Heather Leahy Zachariah, left her career in publishing after baby number number one. She now works from home as a freelance graphic designer and a chauffeur to her 3 busy kids. "Working on TipsFromTown has been a wonderful outlet for me. It renewed my love of publishing where I can design colorful, enticing pages online and allows me to share the things I love about being a mom." Heather grew up in Shaker Heights, Ohio, a place that still is near and dear to her. " After living in Brooklyn for 18 years and studying Graphic Design at Pratt Institute, she now lives in the Jersey burbs. "I love living so close to NYC, but in my heart, I'm an Ohio girl."
