Dark & Stormy (2 ways)

The ginger ale version is tasty, but personally…  I dig the the zing of the ginger beer and bitters.  Thought I’d offer both.  In Bermuda, they’d not have it any other way other than using Gosling’s Rum and ginger beer.  But, we are Ridgwoodians, so try it both ways!

Size: each recipe serves 1

Ingredients:
DARK & STORMY w/GINGER ALE:
Ice cubes
1 cup ginger ale
Lime wedge for garnish
1/4 cup dark rum (true Bermudian fans would use Goslings, but I adore Meyers)
DARK & STORMY w/GINGER BEER:
2 oz Goslings (or Meyers)
1 oz fresh lime juice
2 dashes Angostura Bitters
Ginger Beer to fill
Ice cubes
Lime wedge for garnish

Directions:

DARK & STORMY w/GINGER ALE:  Fill a collins glass with ice.  Add ginger ale, and top with rum.  Add lime wedge.

DARK & STORMY w/GINGER BEER:  Add ice to a tall collins glass.  Add lime juice, bitters, ginger beer and then slowly add rum… stir.  Garnish with a lime wedge.
