Something Irresistibly Sweet Has Arrived in Ridgewood

The Authentic French Bakery, Pierre & Michel opened in Ridgewood this month. The original bakery is in Elmwood Park.

Their chef graduated from the french pastry school Ecole de Boulangerie et Patisserie in Paris and has trained in creating all kinds of pastries, petit gateau, chocolates, artisanal breads, and other specialties. Now, after many years of working in France and continuing in his fathers footsteps as a pastry chef, he is bringing something new to America, “a taste of Paris for a new generation”. He enjoys combining old traditional tastes with modern works of art.

The bakery currently offers traditional pastries, cakes, macarons, breads (brioche, baguettes) and chocolates and seats about 40.

Pierre & Michel, 38 East Ridgewood Avenue, Ridgewood, NJ.

It renewed my love of publishing where I can design colorful, enticing pages online and allows me to share the things I love about being a mom." Heather grew up in Shaker Heights, Ohio, a place that still is near and dear to her. " After living in Brooklyn for 18 years and studying Graphic Design at Pratt Institute, she now lives in the Jersey burbs. "I love living so close to NYC, but in my heart, I'm an Ohio girl."
