Party in the Parklands

Shaker RunFamily Run   Sunday, September 18 • 7am – 4pm

Grab your family and friends for a hike or race through the scenic Shaker Parklands and Nature Center habitats. This year, the Shaker Lakes Hike & Run is part of Party in the Parklands: A 50th Anniversary Festival, a free, all ages event honoring the Freeway Fight that saved the Shaker Parklands and all of the surrounding communities. The celebration begins with the Shaker Lakes Hike & Run and offers entertainment, activities, food trucks and BottleHouse Brewery beer all day until 4 pm. Registration includes tech-shirt and snacks. $30 race day registration opens at 7 am

8:45 am Guided Hikes
12-mile Lakes to Lake Hike to Cleveland Lakefront Nature Preserve and back, led by The Cleveland Hiking Club;
9-mile hike to and through Cleveland Lakefront Nature Preserve with shuttle return;
6-mile hike to Gordon Park with shuttle return;
4-mile hike through the scenic Doan Brook Gorge;
1-mile Pet Friendly, Family Hike
$20 adults; $10 children under 12; children 3 and under free

9:30 Beer Garden Opens and Party in the Parklands begins
