Sign Up for Cleveland’s White Cane Walk

Join Cleveland Sight Center for a 1-mile walk through the blooming spring sights of the magnificent Wade Oval Lagoon in University Circle. White Cane Walk is Cleveland Sight Center’s annual event to raise critical dollars needed to support its mission and raise awareness for the agency and the services provided to those who are blind or have low vision.
Enjoy tours of Cleveland Sight Center and then try the white cane experience where you put on a blind fold, learn how to use the white cane, and walk with a friend or sighted guide to help guide you through CSC’s  Empowerment Park experiencing the different terrains – concrete, grass, rubberized track, and slight incline ramp. This family-friendly event also features face painters, balloon artists, music, dancing, contests, food and beverages, arts & crafts, braille name tags, and so much more!
Activities and registration open at 9:00 a.m. and the 1-mile walk steps off from Cleveland Sight Center at 10:00 a.m. To register or make a donation visit www.whitecanewalk.org and for additional information call 216-791-8118.

She now works from home as a freelance graphic designer and a chauffeur to her 3 busy kids. "Working on TipsFromTown has been a wonderful outlet for me. It renewed my love of publishing where I can design colorful, enticing pages online and allows me to share the things I love about being a mom." Heather grew up in Shaker Heights, Ohio, a place that still is near and dear to her. " After living in Brooklyn for 18 years and studying Graphic Design at Pratt Institute, she now lives in the Jersey burbs. "I love living so close to NYC, but in my heart, I'm an Ohio girl."
