NJ is host to over 120 fairs and festivals! Here are 5 that caught our eye!

lobsterLOBSTERFEST 2016!
June 25, 11am – 8pm • June 26, 11am – 6pm
Lobster tails, lobster rolls, lobster tempura…you name it, they’ll have it at the oceanfront Lobsterfest 2016. While the grown up grab a beer or wine from the garden, kids can ride the water slide, try sand art or get their faces painted. Live music and more than 150 craft and other vendors to buy souvenirs from. Free.

njstatefairSTATE FAIR MEADOWLANDS 2016
June 23 to July 10
6:00pm until 12:00am
The largest fair in New Jersey is host to fireworks July 3–4. Enjoy Kiddieland, complete with a double-decker carousel, a merry-go-round, a safari train, the Frog Hopper,  and Family Swinger. Watch circus-style performances. Pig out on carnival food on steroids: corn dogs, funnel cake and cotton candy galore, but fair delicacies including BBQ chicken on a stick, pulled pork cheese fries, donut burgers, gator mac and cheese, Oreo churros and deep-fried everything. Listen to rock concerts throughout the festival, as well as more than 300 shows and 100 pig races. Admission $7.97.

THURSDAY, JUNE 23, is opening night and bargain night. 6pm- midnight,
admission is $7 for ages 13 & older.

fireflyfestFirefly Festival
June 26  •  4 – 9pm

Wear their wings! If your kids are mesmerized by fireflies, this is the festival for them. Celebrate fireflies by making your own wings, bug boxes and antenna.  There will be a $5.00 charge for the crafts activities. Enjoy live music by Miss Amy and her Big Kids Band while you wait for the fireflies to come out. There will be Pony rides, face painting and wagon rides through the farm. Adults enjoy Terhune’s own wine to sample or by the glass in the tasting room. Pam’s Firefly Tent will have grilled chicken, hot dogs, corn on the cob, pie, apple cider, donuts, and cookies. Asbury Park Beer and Blues ASBURY PARK BLUES & BREWS FESTIVAL
July 23 • 12- to 8pm
Six truly great bands with a great headliner: Matt O’Ree; their live show is like revisiting a Zeppelin concert at the Garden. Vendors, Crafters, Art, Kid’s activities and above all, Music! All-day music performances, and the ocean only a block away.

NJ Balloon Fest2016 Annual Hot Air Balloon Festival
July 30 – August 6
Experience the thrill of watching beautifully colorful hot air balloons rise up to the sky. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can buy a ticket and take a ride.
Warren County Fairgrounds, 1350 Strykers Rd., Phillipsburg, NJ
Admission is $7 for adults and $4 for ages 5-12. Children 4 and Under Free.
