Ridgewood’s Reading Marathon

There is no better month to snuggle up with a good book than February! We are so happy to share this fun fundraiser with you.

Hello Ridgewood! February is Reading Marathon month. The Reading Marathon is a wonderful fundraiser that helps to foster a love of reading at school and home, while also raising valuable funds for the Friends of the Ridgewood Library to purchase books, media and science, art and cultural programs for all ages.
If you have a student (PreK-Gr.8) in Ridgewood schools, s/he will be sent home with a Reading Marathon form. Simply log their reading for the month of Feb., sign and return to school. Every signed form is eligible for prizes, such as a coupon for a free ice cream from Ben & Jerry’s (Ridgewood, NJ). If you don’t receive a form through your school, you can download one from the Reading Marathon website. That’s also where you’ll find a list of fun events taking place throughout the month, beginning with a Winter Freezing Thrills program by Mad Science this Friday at 4:00pm.
