Summer Quilts

Time to give your beds a summer makeover. Spending time in bed is one way to spend a lazy afternoon, whether reading a novel or catching up on your favorite mini series. Think of your bed as a sanctuary, the most comfortable place in the house.  Treat your beds to new quilts for the season, updating your bedding is one of the easiest ways to refresh the ambiance of your whole room.

The Sunset Strip Quilt and Sham from Garnet Hill is pieced from vibrant horizontal bands of prints and solids. The lightweight hand-quilted bedding takes patchwork to the next level. Quilt is backed with turquoise print. Sham has a pieced and quilted front. Pure cotton, including the fill. Percale mini-print bedding adds a summery accent to your room. A colorful percale in exuberant prints re-created from original hand-painted artwork on a white background. Soft, pure-finish combed long-staple cotton. 200 thread count. Choose whales, anchors, stars, or sand dollars.

Pine Cone Hill’s Varkala Quilts are as relaxed as the beach they were named after in India. For a fresh seasonal look, pair the matching quilt and shams with extra shams in various colors. Uma Resist Indigo Quilt from Pine Cone Hill has a sunny modern print that takes its cue from an ancient Asian batik technique. It is hand quilted with  decorative piping and reverses to a two-tone botanical print. The quilt also comes in cinnabar, lime, peony or gold.

Serena & Lily’s Cabin Quilts are best of the basics, this is the perfect bedding layer. The colors are great and the running contrast stitch gives it just the right amount of texture. Now they have a striped and nautical version. PB Teen’s Tropical Sunset Beach Quilt & Shams are a combo of flowers, pretty patchwork and soft colors in the shades of a sunset.

The Jay Street Quilt by West Elm is stitched by hand. The  quilt is made of pure, lightweight cotton, and hand blocked in this batik print by Indian artisans. Brighten your bed with colorful quilts from Allem Studio. The colorful and vibrant designs are inspired by traditional crafts from around the world and can be mixed and matched to create a multitude of combinations to accessorize your home.
