Santa MonmouthSanta Claus is coming to Longstreet Farm! This weekend, December 19 & 20 from 12-3 p.m., is our annual Visit with Santa. Bring the kids (and your cameras!) for this once-a-year photo opportunity with Santa, dressed in his Victorian fineries. Longstreet Farm is open year-round. You can even call to reserve a tour of the farm throughout the winter months.

Monmouth Civic Chorus Presents JOY TO THE WORLD

Two RiversLangston Hughes’ Black Nativity

A joyous retelling of the traditional Nativity story in music, dance and verse, Black Nativity is a Gospel “song play” based on the Gospel of St. Luke, using the poetry of Langston Hughes and performed by an all-Black cast of singers, actors, dancers and musicians. One of the first plays authored by an African-American to be performed on Broadway (it debuted in 1961), Black Nativity delivers a powerful message of joy, hope, victory and liberation. An important civic tradition in many cities across the country, Black Nativity at the Count Basie Theatre is directed by veteran actor and director Darrell Lawrence Willis, Sr., Producing Artistic Director of the Dunbar Repertory Theatre Company, whose mission is to perpetuate an appreciation of cultural diversity and celebrate African-American culture. Tickets: $25, $20, $15

Hunt for an item from the 12 Days of Christmas hidden in store windows at participating businesses in the Red Bank Business District.

Raisa Isaacs, pianist and harpsichodist, earned a Doctorate of Chamber Music at the Kazan State Conservatory, Russia.  She continued her studies in post-doctoral courses at the Moscow Conservatory, the Gnesinuch Russian Academy in Moscow and the Corky Conservatory in  Nizhni Novgorod, Russia.  Irena Kofma, a renowned pianist, is a graduate of the Voronezh State Academy of Arts in Russia and holds a Doctorate of Musical Arts from the University of Miami.  She has been a top prize winner at many competitions and has toured extensively throughout Europe, Russia and the United States.  Ms. Kofman serves as Artist in Residence at the Dreyfoos School of the Arts in West Palm Beach.
Tickets: $20. Seniors: $10. Children 18 and under are admitted free of charge.
