Coney Island’s Outdoor Street Art Museum

Here’s something special that combines two of my favorite things: the beach and art. And there couldn’t be a more perfect place than at the quirky, historically-rich Coney Island. You’ll have plenty of perfect Instagram selfie moments for your kids while you stroll through an outdoor museum filled with colorful street art most of them using spray paint as their medium. Coney Art Walls, features 35 outdoor murals curated by Joseph Sitt and Jeffrey Deitch. The murals were created by renowned local and international artists including Crash, Daze, Lee Quinones, Ron English and Miss Van.

“Coney Island has been a place to be exposed to the unexpected,”Sitt explained. “Coney Art Walls continues this tradition. It brings together a large group of some of the best artists who paint outdoor murals to provide an art experience that is open and free to the public.”

It renewed my love of publishing where I can design colorful, enticing pages online and allows me to share the things I love about being a mom." Heather grew up in Shaker Heights, Ohio, a place that still is near and dear to her. " After living in Brooklyn for 18 years and studying Graphic Design at Pratt Institute, she now lives in the Jersey burbs. "I love living so close to NYC, but in my heart, I'm an Ohio girl."
